Introduction to CycleSave

CycleSave is a WordPress plugin for managing ROSCA (Rotating Savings and Credit Associations), also known as Ajo, Esusu, Tontine, Chama, or Susu. The concept is simple: a group of people agree to contribute a fixed amount of money at regular intervals. Each round, one member receives the full pooled amount. The cycle continues — rotating payouts — until every member has received theirs.

What CycleSave Does

CycleSave handles the entire process for you: group creation, member management, automated payment collection via Stripe and other gateways, round advancement, payout tracking, and email notifications. It works with any WordPress theme and provides both an admin panel and a member-facing dashboard.

How a ROSCA Works

  1. A group is created with a fixed contribution amount, frequency, and maximum number of members.
  2. Members join the group and begin making regular contributions (e.g. $100 per month).
  3. Each round, the pooled contributions are paid out to one member according to a pre-set order.
  4. The cycle repeats until every member has received a payout.

For example, in a 10-member group contributing $100 monthly, each round collects $1,000. One member receives that $1,000 each month. After 10 months, everyone has both contributed and received $1,000.
